Conceptualized sometime in the 2000's during the Soundclash Distribution days which included the Doormouse Subscription Series; I (Heart) Music was a series of six 12" records, each focusing on a different genre or artist, or as the last record would have it, all of the above or none of the above.

The initial idea for this mix (and two others focusing on the Addict and Distort catalog respectively) was to have Baseck, Redshift & J-Slim lay cuts over the mixes as part of the promotion of their album as a trio on Addict. It was right around this time that it became impossible to sell physical music products. Our releases sputtered and Addict went into product release hibernation.

These mixes sat for a decade, only to be re-discovered on old CD's and hard drives this year. Upon further listening and close inspection, they are perfect as-is. Long mixes of cult tracks, rearrangement of classic DM samples and re-structuring of tracks from Addict & Distort.
